To prove that IWBCS is needed in the Inner West is best highlighted by the recent results of the annual Australian Unity Well Being Index that monitors the subjective well being of the Australian population with over 2000 telephone interviews. In December 2006 we were saddened to read that the two electorates that cover both Balmain Rozelle/ Reinhardt (i.e. ‘Sydney’ and ‘Grayndler’ electorates representing over 158000 people), have some of the worst ‘PWI’ results across Australia in the important areas of;
Standard of living.
Community connection
Achievement in life
Health
Personal relationships
Safety,
Future security.
(Page 23) This detailed and reputable Survey (*) summarises the results of each above Criteria, and then rolls them up to Group level which => ‘PWI’ - “The Personal Wellbeing Index”.
'Inner West Business and Community Services' (IWBCS) has been created with a vision and purpose to reverse some of these lifestyle trends.
